Final Four opponent: UNLV was the ‘Showtime’ of college basketball

UNLV basketball fans may recall Dean Garrett as the former Indiana University big man who scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help the Hoosiers edge UNLV 97-93 in the 1987 Final Four. What they may not realize is that Garrett was nearly part of the UNLV program.
